Alba is contemporary American dining at its best. Rather than a large menu of so-so entrees and appetizers, chef/owner Jason Simon's menu is small but impeccable, seasonal and inventive. Don't miss the funky decor, especially in the dining room, where antique doors hang from the ceiling.
The menu items are always changing to reflect what the people of Des Moines want. There’s no reason to do French bistro food when people here like to eat what sounds good. We make it simple by steering clear of heavy sauces and just featuring foods that make sense for each season.
